One of the Center’s fundamental objectives is to translate its research results — whether in the form of new breeds of plants, new biofuels and other bio-based chemicals, lubricants, adhesives, etc., newly tested processes and applications, or new understandings about economic or ecological impacts — to commercial deployment. Deputy Director for Science & Technology Vijay Singh leads CABBI commercialization efforts.
CABBI research helps better inform both farmers and industry on adoption of the scientific advances made by CABBI experts. Further, the solutions our researchers find to current agricultural and bioeconomy issues are shared with farmers, ag lenders, and agribusiness, industry, and policy makers.
And the Center seeks input from the commercial side — as well as with academia and those in government — with its Strategic Advisory Board.
CABBI leadership is confident that partnering with the industrial community to scale up new bioproducts and new technologies is useful as both the corporate sector and our nation seek ways to lessen dependence on fossil fuels. Check out the ways to partner with industry, and we’re happy to tailor our engagement to meet your needs.
